Public house. 1899-1900, with minor late C20 alterations. By Jones and Lister Lea for the Holt Brewery Company. Red brick with terracotta detailing (the terracotta thought to have been supplied by the Hathern Station Brick and Terracotta Company of Loughborough). Slate roof with coped gables. Brick axial stacks.

PLAN: Prominent corner site with main entrance (to public bar) at the angle of the 2 elevations, passage doorway to Moseley Street (left) and doorways to outdoor sales, hall and rear smoke room to Birchall Street (right). EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 1:1:1:1 bays to Moseley Street and 1:2 bays to Birchall Street, each elevation with steeply-pitched gables to slightly advanced bays, and with canted corner with louvred octagonal cupola above an angled oriel above a semi-circular arch-headed doorway. Terracotta-faced ground floors to left and right elevations have segmental arch-headed windows and semi-circular arch headed doorways with raised voussoirs and pilaster shafts between, and fascia and dentilled cornice above. Ground floor windows have leaded panes and stained glass. Gabled bays break forward with 3-light windows to first floor, the entablatures with arabesques and a cartouche in semi-circular pediments; narrow semi-window pedimented window between and large lunette in the gables above with raised voussoirs. Above, a pilaster extends from each key block through the gable to a finial above. Below each lunette is a strapwork apron.

INTERIOR: Minton tiled interior with frieze in public bar, passages, smoke room and stairs. Public bar has contemporary bar and arcaded bar-back with balustrade and clocks above, and mirrored panels behind. Entrance lobby to public bar, which has ceiling lined in Lincrusta paper. Smoke-room has contemporary fireplace, and decorative glass in rear window. Staircase with moulded balusters and ornate newels. First and second floors refurbished following fire damage in 1984.The building was known as the Dog and Partridge Public House from 1829 to 1984. A well-detailed and prominently sited example of an imposing turn-of-the-century Birmingham public house by an important local architectural practice specialising in public house design. Matt Loeffler of Carnegie explains how injection molding impacts myriad industries including the medical and electronics fields, to those who attended Women in Engineering Day. Loeffler and others who are majoring in plastics engineering technology at Penn State Erie train in the 10,500-square-foot plastics processing lab, which is the largest such lab in the country.

Travis Belz of Saegertown and Sriraj Patel of Baldwinsville, N.Y., both of whom are studying plastics engineering technology, explain how injection blow molding impacts everyday life during the "It’s Alive" workshop at Penn State Erie’s Women in Engineering Day. Belz is holding a travel-size plastic bottle that he and Patel made using injection blow-molding technology.

Here are some screenies of progress so far.

I gathered that in the future, Mirai Frame would be used for a wide variety of applications so I designed it in a way which would make it easy for me to modify. I will be using it for the guy version too.

From the designs of Smart Doll Guy so far, the injection mold modification costs should be minimal.

Take a look at these screenshots and give me feedback – maybe use a tool like monosnap to better explain you requirements and leave links etc in the comments below or mention @MiraiRobotics which is the Smart Doll twitter account.

The Brolly Works, 78 Allison Street – corner of Well Lane and Allison Street – former factory
segment mold factory

This building is on Allison Street in Digbeth, corner of Well Lane. Near the Well Lane car park.

It is The Brolly Works at 78 Allison Street.

Factory with adjoining boundary wall and gateway. Built 1872 for Corder & Turley, manufacturers of umbrella ribs. Adapted 1923 as a clothing factory for Fawcett Bros. , and in 1975 as a food processing factory for RTP crisps. Alterations and additions 1896 by Cross Franklin and 1923 by Ewan Harper Bros. & Co. Earlier ranges in L-plan fronting Allison Street and Well Lane; C20 ranges at the rear, parallel to Allison Street, linked to the front range and enclosing a courtyard.

1872 range, Gothic Revival style, red brick, with terra cotta dressings, some painted, and Welsh slate roofs. Several side wall and ridge stacks, mostly capped. Plinth, intermediate cornices and impost bands to upper floors, dentillated eaves.

3 storeys; 16 x 9 windows. Windows are mainly original cast-iron glazing bar casements with serrated segmental pointed heads to the ground floor , and serrated pointed arches above. Main frontage to Allison Street has approximately central feature, 2 windows, with enrichment on the upper floors, under a heavily ornamented coped gable with a cusped round window containing patterned stained glass. Ground and second floors have standard windows; first floor has round arched windows flanked by enriched panelled pilasters and swags.

Ground floor has to left a segmental pointed cart opening with a pair of doors, then 5 windows, one enlarged, then a pointed arched doorway and fanlight under a gable. Beyond, 2 windows, one wider, and a small square-headed window at the corner. To right, 4 windows, then a small flat-headed window, then a doorway and a reglazed window. Above, on each floor, to left, 8 windows, those to the first floor reglazed, and to right, 6 windows arranged 4/2.

Beyond, to right, coped brick boundary wall with roller shutter door, C20, and entrance, C20, with flat gable.

Left corner has on the first floor a canted oriel window, rebuilt in plastic late C20, on original moulded masonry bracket.

Left return, to Well Lane, has similar regular fenestration, with reglazed windows to the first floor .

Rear elevation has mainly original regular fenestration, with segmental headed openings. Several segmental pointed openings to the ground floor . Beyond, to left, addition, late C19, 2 storeys, 8 windows. Segment headed openings to the ground floor, with cast iron glazing bar casements. Above, 7 steel framed casements, C20.

C20 ranges, red brick, have concrete lintels and coated slate roofs. Large steel framed casements with glazing bars, divided by brick pilasters. 3 storeys; 7 x 3 windows. Courtyard frontages have regular fenestration, the ground floor windows obscured. North range, fronting loading bay, 5 x 2 windows, has roller-shutter doors to the ground floor, divided by concrete pilasters .

INTERIOR: 1872 range has wooden floors carried on lengthwise beams and round cast iron columns. Single purlin roof. Trusses with diagonal struts and vertical tie rod held in cast iron shoe at ridge. C20 ranges have clear floor spans and angle-iron roof trusses.

Clearly it is no longer a factory of anything anymore. I think it has 1 bedroom apartments in it now (for city centre living).
